Economic High School of Tourism Iasi Romania

The Technical Economic High School of Tourism promotes scientific training and practice sessions that develop the competitive proficiencies requested in an open society: initiative, creativity, the ability of taking decisions and the power to begin and follow through a plan. The continuous improvement, progress and rejuvenation of both theoretical and practical training have always been a priority for our school.

In the perspective of a modern education and of an inspiriting economy inside the great European economy, the Technical Economic High School of Tourism pursues the formation of an autonomous and creative personality of the students, assuring a high quality education, based on cultural literacy and development of professional skills. Our students will be thus able to practice a profession, to continue their studies in institutions of higher education or to begin their own businesses. The Technical Economic High School of Tourism intends to assure the labour market with specialists who provide services at an international level (qualified workers – level I and II – and skilled technicians) in the following fields: tourism, public alimentation and marketing. As graduate students are trained by competent and qualified teachers, we are also interested in assuring development and continuity conditions to our trainers. Apart from the multitude of opportunities we offer our graduate pupils through our didactic system, the Technical Economic High School of Tourism is also capable of and highly interested in promoting projects specific to adult education as well as to students with special needs. The level of education assured in our school offers - apart from the ability of accumulating and understanding technical and practical information and of applying the acquired knowledge in practice - organizational and management skills for staff and groups of workers.

Studied subjects during the superior level of high school: Accounting, Economy, Human Resources, Marketing and Travel Agency Organization.


The studied information and all other knowledge acquired previously were gathered and put into practice within the simulation of a real agency. Theoretical knowledge integration and practice within a “training-firm “and practical activities in a travel agency a few weeks per year.


The “training-firm” is the facsimile of a real agency, in which pupils, guided by a coordinating teacher, conduct and exercise activities performed by an economical unit which sell products and virtual services.


The transactions are made with virtual money supplied by the central bank, represented by ROCT (Romanian Coordination of Training-firms) which conducts the whole activity at a national level.


Attributes and activities of a travel agency:

- Proper selling of touristic programs;

- Marketing studies of touristic products from Romania;

- Establishing agreements with internal and external providers;

- Developing touristic programs;

- Promoting sales through our own agency and collaborators;

- Creating a tight bound with clients and informing them about our registration conditions and about the quality of the services we provide.
